This website provides information on 45 Croydon Way Ltd’s intension to apply for full planning permission and listed building consent for the part demolition, restoration, redevelopment and extension of 14-18 Clarence Place to facilitate a change of use to a 58 bedroom hotel.
The proposed development will restore the listed buildings that face Clarence Place and provide an additional floor increasing the building to four storeys. To the rear of the buildings, the old extension will be demolished and a modern extension up to four storeys in height will be erected. The proposals will also bring two ground floor commercial units, new landscaping and new rear access courtyard. This planning application will enable the Grade II Listed buildings to become operational again for occupation by easyHotel.
